In follow-up to our November event in New York City, we brought Reset the Table back to Los Angeles on December 9th, 2022. For re—inc, live gatherings that create space for conversation and community have always been part of our strategy. We exist to boldly reimagine the status quo, and we can’t do it alone. Through the art of gathering, we find kindred spirits to help us scale our collective impact.

In celebration of our re—inc x Angel City FC x Klarna collaboration, the New Everyone Club, we gathered a group of diverse voices for an engaging conversation around a new and inclusive way forward.

The evening was hosted by re—inc Co-Founders Christen Press & Tobin Heath alongside ACFC Co-Founders Kara Nortman & Julie Urhman. We had a meaningful, nourishing conversation with folks from different backgrounds, industries, and perspectives on how we create inclusive spaces.

A thank you to Klarna, an ally in change, for making this special evening possible.

Please read on for event takeaways and some inspiration for your own gatherings.

The consensus, as reimagined by the New Everyone Club: inclusivity is the new exclusivity.

The consensus: inclusivity is the new exclusivity.

From our guests, rediscover resources for provocation and changemaking:

+ As a courageous activist and author, Glennon Doyle has given a voice to so many who strive to make change and be their most authentic selves. Re—visit Glennon Doyle’s podcast We Can Do Hard Things. In the episode Abby’s Hero Shares Her Hardest Battle changemaker and legendary tennis player Billie Jean King shares her honest experience living an authentic life and reflects on how to visualize a reality that doesn’t yet exist.

+ As the Chief Social Enterprise Officer at the Downtown Women’s Center LA, Joe Altepeter provides leadership to MADE by DWC, a social enterprise created by the Downtown Women’s Center (DWC) to break the cycles of chronic unemployment and homelessness by empowering women to discover talents and develop skills through vocational opportunities, and generate economic and social capital to support programs at DWC. To support the cause, visit the Get Involved section of the DWC website to make urgent contributions.

+ As the Executive Director of the California Women’s Law Center, Betsy Butler works to create a more just and equitable society by breaking down barriers and advancing the potential of women and girls through transformative litigation, policy advocacy and education. For resources to become a stronger advocate for gender equality, visit the resources section of the CWLC website covering a wide range of subjects that identify and address emerging issues that impact the ability of women and girls to thrive.

A final takeaway: we invite you to tap into the re—inc spirit by hosting your own Reset the Table gathering with family, friends, or colleagues, in person or from afar. Created with purpose by Christen Press, Megan Rapinoe, Tobin Heath, and Meghan Klingenberg, Reset the Table Cards inspire exploration, collaboration, and reflection. Use these conversation starters to dream big, think differently, and act with purpose.
