We caught up with singer and songwriter Rozzi to hear more about how she reimagines norms and redefines inner peace.

Q: Tell us a bit about yourself.

A: I’m a singer and a songwriter living between Los Angeles and New York and part 1 of my album just came out !

Q: re–inc is rooted in our founders' fight for equity as members of the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. We're all about breaking norms and barriers society has placed on us. How do you reimagine the status quo?

A: I try my best to be a woman comfortable in her own skin, refusing to shrink myself or bend to the false narrative of how a woman should act. As a teenager in the music industry, I didn’t know how to stand up for myself the way I do now.

Now my goal is to treat my own instincts the way I used to treat the instincts of the powerful men around me - like they matter and should be prioritized. For me, it’s been a revolution to put my opinions first.

"Now my goal is to treat my own instincts the way I used to treat the instincts of the powerful men around me - like they matter and should be prioritized."

Q: One of the themes from our summer collection is redefining peace and well-being. How do you nourish yourself or cultivate self-love and inner peace?

A: This maybe sounds like the opposite of peace but, I love a schedule. Nourishment for me is checking things off a list. A plan helps me know that I can fit in all the things that make me feel complete. That way I can go to sleep knowing I have enough time to do all my work, and have FUN.

Q: What's brought you the most joy this summer?

A: Being in Fort Greene park with my 11 month old niece.

Q: This summer we explore the idea of elevated states to higher self and collective liberation. What makes you feel most elevated and free in spirit?

A: There’s a nirvana that comes with singing - it doesn’t happen every time I sing, these days I sing so much it doesn’t even happen most times. But the sweet spot, when I’m fully connected to the story I’m telling, and I’m on my air and the vocal technique is supporting me, and I’m lost in it, that is the most free feeling on earth.
